The Executive Committee is comprised of the Association officers who handle the bulk of our business on the local, county, and state level. They make sure that things are functioning according to the law and running smoothly for members.
They are the people who:
Communicate items of importance to membership, direct questions to UniServ, maintain contacts and relationships on the MCEA (county) level, review and file grievances, attend leadership workshops and trainings throughout the year, set schedules for association meetings, plan association events, propose and balance our budget, monitor the political climate on the local, county, and state level, maintain communication with the BOE and district administration, monitor the negotiation process, maintain the HPEA website, sign up new members and handle transfers, gather data and specifics about the needs and concerns of membership, and anything else that involves the running of the association. (they act as building representatives in a pinch as well!)
Each of the Executive members is the chair of a committee either by choice or as dictated by our HPEA Bylaws.
